Science doesn’t need to be a solid wall of abstract mathematics that only academics can climb. Celestial mechanics lends itself well to diagrams, and this book invites readers to explore the universe created by complex math but without the equations.
It’s a bit of a leap from the Three Body Problem of celestial mechanics to Freud’s simple Id-Ego-Superego model of the human psyche, but the analogies are compelling. Gravity. The trajectory of a life. Crashing down into depression. Freud’s “iceberg” model of the subconscious was the first and last physical model. It’s high time we had a new one.
Why We Need This Book
It was a bit of a stretch for modern psychology to sign off on homosexuality. This only happened, back in the 1960s, after gay activists stormed the annual Psychology convention year after year, demanding recognition. Over time, homosexuality became mainstream, and that was the end of the drama.
Then came 26 more sexual variations. The trans revolution took the gay movement to the next level, demanding that gays be actually recognized as the opposite sex, just for the asking. Biological males demanded the right to compete in female sports, and have won trophies practically on demand.
Homosexuals labored for generations – millennia! – for their rights. These new sexualities demand it practically overnight. Excuse me, but I’m schizophrenic. We’ve been patient and diligent even longer than gays. Wait in line already!
Be that as it may, activists have stifled the entire psychology profession into silence. No academic dares voice opposition – much less the outrageous idea of doing an academic study – at the risk of their tenure, their reputation, and even their very life.
The problem with psychology is that it’s all wishy-washy. Even the modern “mathematical psychology” is based on statistics, which can basically be interpreted any way you like. What we need is a solid, MATHEMATICAL psychology. Not statistical, but classical mathematics.
About the Book
A few years ago, I was building yet another website to promote my research on the Three Body Problem (3BP). I wrote a few posts using basic psychology ideas to illustrate some of the concepts – gravity of the situation. Men are from Mars, women are from Venus. The breakthrough came when I used my 3BP model of the Mars trajectory to illustrate the classical Three Act Screenplay structure.
When I wrote up my research, calling it Temporal Mechanics (the engineering application of 3BP methods), the first third of the book – “Temporal as in between the temples” covers these psyh ideas. They start with geometry and simple trigonometry – no math; everything is done with illustrations – and lead to “The Hero’s Journey,” chapter four, with my screenplay structure model.
